WHEN I moved from Shobrooke to Crediton recently, I was immediately struck by how poor the air quality is, affecting residents in the town as well as pedestrians.

I have noticed the pollution when walking along Blagdon, and also walking to the hospital.

Exercise is essential to good health, but it seems might also be harmful to health where pollution is an issue.

The potential for increased pollution should be given top priority and addressed in practical terms when plans are drawn up for housing development.

There is no evidence that this is happening in the Crediton area.
