POLICE used a “stinger” device to puncture the tyres of a car near Crediton at about 2am this morning, Monday, September 2.

Police Sgt Dan Brenchley took to social media site “Twitter” and wrote: “Lovely work from D section and other departments.

“Fail to stop in Exeter, vehicle went around the Local Policing Area resulting in the vehicle being stung in Crediton and two in custody.”

The force helicopter and other resources were used during the police operation.
