ON Saturday evening Police Officers from Crediton, Tiverton and Cullompton worked with a specialist drug sniffer dog to visit licensed premises in the three towns.

This was part of the ongoing campaign “Pubs Against Drugs” which was established in order to prevent and deter drug dealing and usage in Mid Devon Police area’s Neighbourhood Communities.

PC Keith Bradshaw, who organised the event, said: “The evening was a success and we were well received by all pubs that were visited.

“Both staff and customers were supportive to the initiative and this is something we plan to repeat later in the year.
