DEVON and Cornwall Police is investigating an attempted break-in at Crediton Antiques Centre, in Crediton High Street, at about 11.30pm on Sunday, February 9.

The break-in was unsuccessful but CCTV has recorded images of the man police wish to interview with regard to the incident.

The man is described as in his 50’s and was wearing distinctive trainers and shell-suit type trousers and a woolly hat.

He was carrying a Nike rucksack.

While nothing was taken, damage was caused to the door of the premises.

The shop’s loud alarm sounded immediately the incident happened.

The Police have issued an appeal for witnesses.
