UPDATE (Tuesday, July 15): Trains on the Tarka Line between Exeter and Barnstaple are now running every two hours.

Disruption is expected until 5pm. Rail tickets can be used on local buses.

TRAINS between Exeter and Barnstaple via Crediton are currently disrupted due to a points failure.

The fault is on the Tarka Line at Eggesford. Engineers are being sent to investigate and disruption is expected until 10pm, Great Western Railway said.

The company has requested replacement transport and rail tickets can be used on local buses.

The Dartmoor Line to and from Okehampton was also affected but has since returned to normal.
