LOCAL groomer Sarah Berry is one of four finalists in the Grooming Hero Awards run by Total Grooming Magazine.

Sarah, who lives in Crediton, works at Groomed to Pawfection with business partner Karla Gregory , who nominated her for the award.

Sarah, who owns a rescue dog, a greyhound named Joe, likes to help others and has taken part in a number of fundraising events including silent auctions and coffee mornings, as well as grooming events to raise funds for the Greyhound Sanctuary near Crediton and the Blue Cross Centre near Cheriton Fitzpaine. She has helped to rehome dogs from the Blue Cross, that were struggling to find new homes, by giving them a groom and a pamper to make them look more appealing.

Sarah also ran the Reading Half Marathon to raise funds for The Greyhound Sanctuary.

Often, when a customer is unwell, Sarah will look after their dog for them until they are better.

Sarah is the only local finalist for the award and it would be great to have a winner from Crediton.
