WONDERFULLY well-stocked stalls with plants of all sizes and prices brought the keen gardeners to the annual plant sale in aid of Clannaborough Parish Church, held in Bow Village Hall on Saturday afternoon (May 4).

There had been a long queue outside waiting for the doors to open but before then a presentation was made to Brenda Mitchell who has been treasurer for 20 years.

Ellen Copper has taken over the job and a bouquet of flowers and a voucher for a tree were given to Brenda. She and her husband, Wilson, have been the leading lights behind the plant sale for many years.

As well as all the plants there was a garden bench, pair of Wellingtons, big plant pots, floral curtains, books and even a Christmas tree for sale among the many sundries.

Tickets were also on sale for the concert by candlelight by Thomas Cameron to be held at St Petrock’s Church, Clannaborough on June 19 and July 20.

There were teas and a raffle.
