PLANS are now going ahead for Tedburn St Mary Fair in September after very strong fears it would not be held for lack of people to help run it.

But the people of Tedburn have shown their support. More than 40 people went to a meeting this week and the Fair will now happen again.

Lots of people volunteered to help, sub committees were formed and it is a very relieved main committee that has more backing.

Simon Anthony is staying on as chairman, Louise Taylor is taking craft bookings, Rennee Smithens and Norman Pook organising the vintage cars and tractors.

There were big thanks for all their work in the past to Sarah Williams and Ian Gass who have stepped down.

The Fair is to be held on September 14. For more information or talk about having a stand, providing entertainment or helping please contact Simon Anthony on 01647 61716.
