A PLOT of land on the eastern edge of Cheriton Fitzpaine could be “ripe for housing development”, an estate agency has said.

Greenslade Taylor Hunt thinks the 4.57-acre site at Landboat Farm could “accommodate up to 40 properties”.

And, due to Mid Devon District Council not being able to show the government it has at least five years’ worth of land for new homes, there is “a window of opportunity to capitalise on the need for housing and this is likely to enable the land to be brought forward for development”, a spokesperson said.
