A GROUP of residents living on or near Higher Road in Crediton, have produced a poster objecting to a proposed development to build 65 homes.
The planning application for the site, which runs along Higher Road, joining Alexander Road junction at one end and finishing near George Hill at the other was recently altered by the applicant, Place Land LLP.
Local residents have concerns about the potential amount of extra traffic, strain on infrastructure, schooling, environmental issues and doctor’s surgeries.
Originally the plan was to build 75 properties.
The posters have been delivered through the doors of those whom the group feel may be affected by the development including those on Higher Road, George Hill, Alexander Road, Fairfield Road and Southfield Drive.
Included in the poster are suggestions for objections and also information about how to make representations.
The group was formed following a meeting of Sandford Parish Council on June 7, when a number of residents who felt similarly about the development decided to take action for themselves.
