THERE will be a peal attempt on the bells at Crediton Parish Church on Saturday, September 12, starting at 10am.

The Tower Captain at the church said that the band will be ringing all 12 bells in a method called Bristol Surprise Maximus.

He said that they are all very experienced ringers and the ringing should be of a high standard.

He added: “If it’s successful, the peal will be about 3 ½ hours of continuous ringing with no mistakes - and no rests or breaks for the ringers.”
