THE annual Peace Light Service at Cheriton Fitzpaine Methodist Church, was once again well-attended.
The Peace Light is collected from Bethlehem by an Austrian Scout or Guide, and then lights many other lamps which are carried all over Europe.
Cheriton Fitzpaine’s was collected at Dover, taken to Bristol, and brought to the village by a Scout Leader.
The Service was largely run by young people who declared their intention to try and promote peace, and the light carried into the Church by a Brownie and Rainbow.
