NEWTON St Cyres Primary School children from years 1 and 2 and children from Newton Nippers Pre-School staged a superb Christmas Nativity in Newton St Cyres Parish Church.

The church was a perfect setting for the performance of “It’s a Baby”, which included the traditional Nativity element.

Children dressed as Mary and Joseph, the three kings, angels, a star, and in addition there were lots of animals and shepherds.

There were many starring roles and teacher Mr James Akhurst was full of praise for the children and also thanked everyone for their generous donations.

More than £109 was raised for St Petrocks in Exeter, a charity dedicated to helping the homeless.
