HUNDREDS of people enjoyed watching a film on a very large screen in Newcombes Meadow in Crediton last year.

The Open Air Cinema was staged by the Town Team as part of CredFest 2017.

Due to the success of last year’s event, the Town Team will be showing the film “The Greatest Showman” from 9.15pm on Friday, June 8.

The Greatest Showman is a 2017 American musical film directed by Michael Gracey in his directorial debut, inspired by the story of P T Barnum’s creation of the Barnum and Bailey Circus and the lives of its star attractions.

Hugh Jackman plays the part of P T Barnum, an ambitious showman and entrepreneur.

Everyone is invited to go along early to find a spot to sit, with the film starting as soon as it is dark. It is free to attend and those attending are advised to take a cushion and blanket.

Hot drinks and snacks will be on sale.
