THE Land Charges Team at North Devon Council have kept hold of a top award for their work for the third year in a row.
At the Land Data Local Charges Awards the team retained the award for the Best Performing National Land Information Service (NLIS) Level 2 Land Charges Department.
The national awards recognise the work and achievements of local authority Local Land Charges departments which carry out the land and property searches required for conveyancing transactions in England and Wales.
This is the fifth time the team has won this award, having previously won it in 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018.
Rob Bates and Debbie Chandler from the team received the award at a dinner in Birmingham hosted by comedian Jo Caulfield.
Chief Executive at North Devon Council, Mike Mansell, said: “This award shows recognition for the hard work and dedication that goes into providing a quality land charges service to the North Devon district. I’m delighted the team have held onto the award for another year, long may the good work continue.”
Entries for this award category were judged using NLIS Hub data, the category is sponsored by the National Land Information Service.
