CREDITON Twinning Association held its 2019 boules tournament on Saturday, May 11. This annual event, which took place in Crediton Town Square, has taken place since 1989 when the Association was formed.

Nine teams of four players took part in glorious weather and the teams who lost their first match moved in to the Plate Competition which resulted in Andy Tonkin’s “Barclays Bank” Team playing “Les Vaughans Veritable” team who won by 11 points to seven.

The main Competition resulted in the current holders “Forresters” playing against the “Boniface Link Association” in the final.

The outcome saw an 11 to eight win for the Boniface Link Association team comprising Bob Edwards, John and Jenny Berg and Angie Cargill.

The Trophies were presented by Association Chairman Jenni Pitts who congratulated all the players.
