AS with our previous monthly meeting in September, the Crediton Branch of Devon Senior Voice was again delighted to welcome another high-profile commissioning manager, working for Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Trust.

Adel Jones: Integration Director, RD and E Foundation NHS Trust gave a detailed talk about how commissioning priorities work within our local NHS Trust in Exeter.

Not only did she answer all the questions posed by those members present, but she also patiently listened to a member who has issues around caring responsibilities, and offered to have a one-to-one talk with her at a later date, to access what practical assistance she could offer.

Chair, Carole Towler, thanked Ms Jones and invited her to stay for some light refreshments before returning to Exeter.

Next month, we are joined by another NHS manager who will be talking about the commissioning of Mental Health Services for the over 50s.

We are very fortunate to have such high-quality speakers at our meetings and Carole Towler urges as many members as possible to attend the meeting which will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at our new venue: The Resident’s Lounge, Clifford Gardens (Housing and Care 21), Jockey Hill, between 2pm and 4pm.

All are welcome and there will be light refreshments available.
