EXETER Leukaemia Fund (ELF) has had a successful presence in the High Street of Crediton for more than 15 years.

Due to the growth in the Community Support Service delivered by ELF and the successful fundraising supporter group in Crediton, the charity is taking the initiative and moving to a larger premises at 20 High Street.

Jo Pavey the Olympic Medallist will open the new shop, renamed Shelf Life, on February 27 at 11.30am.

ELF's retail operations manager, Julie King, said: "This is a really exciting time for the charity.

"We have had amazing support from the lovely people of Crediton and now ELF wants to play a greater part in the local community."

The new much larger premises will allow ELF to sell small occasional furniture, and offer a larger children's department.

The facility is so big that the back room is being converted into a multi-use facility giving the local community the opportunity to hold workshops or meetings.

If you have any ideas of how to use this space or if you would like to volunteer in the shop or donate goods, please contact Julie King for details on 01392 247725.
