A NEW support group will be starting in Crediton at Cairney’s Bistro on alternate Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm - 9.30pm, starting on Tuesday, January 24. Being started by Jessica Atkinson and Lucy Carnall, they explained that the group will be a relaxed, safe place for mum’s who are suffering with or who have suffered from post natal mental health issues.

They said they hope those attending will be able to connect with other mum’s in similar situations, support each other, have discussions, drink coffee and eat cake.”

Jessica and Lucy added: “We’re both mums of young children who have suffered with post natal mental health issues who found there wasn’t enough peer support in the Crediton area.

“We found being able to talk with each other and learn from each others experiences helped us to feel less alone and isolated.

“We want other mums in the same situation to have a safe, non judgemental space to talk openly with others.”
