CENTRAL Devon MP Mel Stride visited Crediton Library on Friday, September 20 to promote BookTrust’s “Time to Read” campaign.
BookTrust is the UK’s largest children’s charity and reaches 3.9 million children with books, resources and support to encourage families to make reading part of family life.
The “Time to Read” campaign called on MPs to show their support for the benefits of reading and its positive impact on the mental health of young people by sharing a picture of the book “The Cave” by Rob Hodgson.
BookTrust sent the book to Mel who left the copy with the library. Mr Stride was met by librarian Beth Vaughn.
