A full concert of music was provided for those attending to enjoy, after refreshments, everyone sitting down to listen to or take part in the programme of entertainment.
It included “Gendarmes” duet, “Pergolaie stabat mater” First movement, “The Acrobat” played on trombone, “Silver is the Raven Hair”, “The Alto’s Lament”, “Summertime”, “Someone to Watch Over Me”, “Bare Necessities”, “You are the New Day”, “Country Gardens”, McCavitie the cat from TS Elliot’s book “Cats”, “The Hippopotamus Song” and others.
The Ad Hoc Choir also performed a number of songs and the compere was Paul Evans.
There were a number of stalls and a raffle.
Sheila Ralph, Chairperson, Crediton FORCE, said that a “really superb amount” £1,027.90, was raised.
She added: “We are indebted to Carole who put in so much hard work planning and organising the afternoon and to Richard who supplied the stunning garden for the location.
“It was a truly lovely afternoon, the sun shone, we were entertained brilliantly and everyone enjoyed tea and cake and thanks to the generosity of those present, a fantastic amount of money was made for FORCE.”
