Leaders from all sections (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers), came together from Chulmleigh, Crediton, Okehampton, South Zeal, North Tawton, Bow, Sandford, and Tedburn and Cheriton, to plan events for the coming year.
The evening began with a presentation from the District Commissioner, Trevor Waycott on the soon to be launched “Office 365” initiative.
This has been designed to help all leaders with communication, programme planning and general administration.
The second presentation was from Paul Charlton, a member of the Devon County Scout team, on the support needed by young people who were moving from Explorers as Young Leaders, to be the Leaders of Tomorrow.
The attendees then divided into their different sections to plan events for the coming year; camps, badge work, community impact projects, and with both Beavers (30 years) and Cubs (100 years) celebrating significant milestones in their Scouting history, to plan events to mark them.
