A MEMORIAL Charity Concert featuring Crediton Town Band and the River City Chorus and held in North Tawton Town Hall has raised £1,000 for the charity, FORCE.

The concert was held on Saturday, September 24 and was held in memory of Jill Cripps, who sadly passed away on New Year’s Eve.

Everyone who went along enjoyed an entertaining evening and Peter Cripps said he was “thrilled” at the amount raised.

He thanked all those who attended, the band and River City Chorus, those who helped with refreshments and those who gave prizes for the raffle.

Peter, an accomplished musician, also played with Crediton Town Band during the evening.

Crediton Town Band would welcome more people to join it and among the players it is particularly looking for is a percussionist.

Practice evenings are held on Wednesdays at Hayward’s Primary School at 7.30pm.
