CREDITON Beavers recently received a visit from Frank Letch, the Mayor of Crediton, as part of the Beaver Scout’s Disability Awareness badge.

Beaver Leader with the First Crediton Scout Group, Helen Olsson, explained: "Having explained how he drove himself to the Scout Hut, he wowed the boys with his ability to peel and slice potatoes, brush his hair and write, all with his feet.

"He talked about how everyone is different and should never give up and he was really inspirational."

Helen added that the Beavers have also been learning sign language this term and playing games blindfolded to learn how they can be more understanding of people who find things difficult that we take for granted.
