CREDITON Rural County Councillor Jim Cairney and Crediton Mayor, Cllr Steve Huxtable, visited Hayward’s Primary School as part of their 'I am Crediton Work' recently.

Headteacher Andy Smith said the purpose of the visits is to help children understand their local area more and have a greater understanding of their own identify, growing up as a young person from the Crediton area.

He added: “We are looking forward to visits from the Arts Centre, Heart Project and Leisure Centre in weeks to come.

“If there are any local groups who would like to lead an assembly about their role in the Crediton area, please let the school know by emailing: [email protected] .

“The children and staff would be delighted to welcome you to our school.”
