ALMOST 30 runners in Bideford's half-marathon on Sunday, March 1 had an added incentive to reach the finishing line – to raise sponsorship money for two charities in memory of a much-loved North Devon woman.
Brenda Bragg, who was born in Rose Ash and lived most of her life in Lapford, died in October aged 55.
She was famed for her community spirit and caring nature – particularly evident in her work for two charities, "Exeter YMCA" and "Send a Cow".
Her family, friends, colleagues and church previously raised £11,000 towards those two charities.
