HAYWARD'S Primary School, Crediton will be celebrating 150 years with a range of events next month.

"Hayward's Sesquicentennial Celebrations 1860- 2010 will be held on January 13 and 14 from 1.30 to 4.30 at Hayward's Primary School and in Old School Buildings, now the Art Centre and Community Youth Centre.

Visitors will be able to find out about Hayward's through the ages with stories from the past, a tour of the new school and a 3D model of the new building.

Short Victorian plays will be presented in the Arts Centre at 1.45pm, 2.45pm and 3.45pm.

A modern day lesson will be held in the new building at 2.15 and school council children will give a tour.

Visitors will be asked to put names to faces on mystery photos and a presentation will be given to show what the Community Youth Centre is now used for.

On another day, a tree will be planted and a time capule will be buried in the school grounds to acknowledge the anniversary.
