A woman from Sandford, near Crediton, was recognised with a Long Service Award at the recent Mid Devon Show.

Margaret Yelland has worked at Dowrich, near Sandford for the past 50 years for the Lee family.

Tasks included planting potatoes, pulling swedes, milk recording and milking and other farm and household duties.
