THE bank accounts of some people from the Crediton area are set to be credited when players of People’s Postcode Lottery find out how much they have won in the latest major giveaway.
A prize pot of £2 million will be shared by players from the area after the winning postcode sector in October’s Millions Prize was revealed as EX17 6.
A cheque presentation will be held on Saturday, October 31, at the Highbullen Hotel in North Devon. Players will have to wait until then to discover exactly how much they have won.
A total of 55p from every £2 ticket goes to good causes.
So far players have raised an amazing £86.8 million for charities across Great Britain and internationally.
Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have already given much needed support to a number of Devon-based projects including Surf Life Saving Devon, which received £20,000.
The funding allowed the organisation to train community volunteers to respond to flood emergencies in their local areas.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Judie McCourt, who will be presenting cheques to the lucky winners, said: “There will be no tricks, just treats for those in the Crediton this Hallowe’en.
“I have the best job in the world and I feel so lucky that I get to give players these fantastic cheques.
“It’s going to be a great day for everyone.”
Organisers will reveal more details regarding the cheque presentation, including the minimum amount winners can expect to receive, in the coming days at: www.postcodelottery.co.uk .
