TEDBURN St Mary based author, Fay Sampson, who recently published her 50th book, will give a talk at the Boniface Centre, in Crediton on Monday, May 16.

The talk, about her life and career will be in aid of the Holy Cross Crediton Campaign Roof Appeal. Fay was born in Plymouth, lived in Lympstone and after qualifying as a maths teacher at what is now the University of Exeter, married and moved to Northern Rhodesia.

Fay now lives in Tedburn St Mary where her home has inspirational views towards Dartmoor. Her novels have included both adult fiction and non-fiction and a considerable range of children’s books. Several of her books such as the "Hunted Hare" and "The Watch on Patterwick Fell" have won awards and others have been short-listed for the Guardians Children’s Fiction Prize.
