ON July 9, Liz Ledsham became of member of the Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface.

She was welcomed by president Paul Radnor and secretary Fred Oliver.

After a career culminating as head of maths at a Hampshire comprehensive school, in 2007 Liz moved, with her husband Roy, to Bow.

In addition to running the Bow and District Friendship Club, and maintaining several hives of bees in her garden, Liz plans to play an active part in the club’s efforts to raise funds for local charities.

Each year the club raises thousands of pounds for local charities.  These include Devon Air Ambulance, The Amber Foundation in Chawleigh and St Petrock’s Exeter.

The club meets on Tuesday evenings.  If you are interested in being part of this worldwide organisation please contact the secretary on 01363 834419.
