A CHEQUE for £750 was presented by the Lions Club of Crediton to the charity ELF at Crediton Football Club on Friday, August 11.

Crediton & District Lions Club president Eric Parkes said it was a tremendous pleasure to present the cheque to representatives of ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund), part of the proceeds from the Lions’ annual Easter egg promotion.

He thanked everyone present and all those in the Crediton area most sincerely for supporting this promotion.

"We were thrilled we managed to raise such an amount for this very worthy cause. "Thank you to everyone.

"Without such generosity we would not have been able to make such a significant donation," he said.
