AN almost life-size chocolate hen in a basket surrounded by eggs is one of the 15 Easter eggs settled at various places in the area by Crediton and District Lions Club.
The launch of the Club's Easter Egg Draw was at Cairney's Bistro, East Street, Crediton. Each ticket is £1 with a superb Easter egg prize to be won.
The profit will allow the Lions to provide charitable support in Crediton and area. If all the eggs are sold, it is hoped to make around £1,000 profit.
Lion president Tony Fitzwalter hoped everyone would support this cause. He thanked Cairney's Bistro for allowing the club to use its premises to launch the Easter egg draw and thank all the other outlets who have agreed to sell the draw tickets.
Crediton Lions are 31 years old this year. One of the events they are organising is a fancy dress competition on May 21 to be part of the Crediton 2009 Festival.
