LILIANNA Crean (10), whose hair was so long she could sit on it, decided to have it cut to raise money for charity.

She raised £62, in sponsorship, for Autism World Awareness Week - Too Much Information (TMI ), which was held, from April 2 - 8, to "challenge the myths and misconceptions, and stereotypes that make society feel so unwelcoming."

The charity is close to Lilianna’s heart as her brother Alfie (10) has Aspergers, which is on the Autism Spectrum.

Hayward’s Primary School pupil Lilianna had her hair plaited before having 12 inches cut off the length, at Sarah’s Barber’s Shop, Crediton.

Lilianna donated the plait of hair to her other chosen charity the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs and hair pieces for children who suffer hair loss due to cancer treatment.
