FORMER Crediton resident, Liliana Vanstone has been busy crocheting blankets to help people in Africa.
The 92-year-old, who now lives in Dawlish, has made about 16 colourful blankets, which have been sent to families in Tanzania where they are distributed by the charity “Time For Life.”
Liliana, who was born in Italy, has been putting her skills to good use at a weekly knitting class.
She enjoys crocheting and makes the blankets out of the “kindness of her heart.” In return she receives photographs of people in Tanzania who are benefiting from the blankets.
