I FELT I must write to let you know about my visit to my husband's grave in Crediton Cemetery.

I was shocked by the sight that met me, they have been strimming the grass normally done very well.

I am not sure if Mid Devon District Council has changed to a new contractor but I was in tears.

My husband's plant had literally been chopped in two, also two wooden red hearts on wooden sticks had had the hearts chopped off and just sticks left in the ground.

I looked around and could see I was not the only one, many had ornaments damaged, plants knocked over and damaged flowers with the heads chopped off.

If they had told us by putting a notice up saying which day they were doing this we could have made things safe and have saved all this heartache.

It seems like they just cut and couldn't care less.

This was the first time this had happened and I hope the last.
