MY husband has terminal cancer and is receiving palliative care.
On the night of Saturday, December 19, he became very poorly and the doctor was called, who requested an ambulance.
Whilst waiting I called my daughter who parked in the drive of my Crediton home behind my car.
About a quarter of her car was over the very wide pavement.
As she was in a rush and it was very late at night she did not see a problem as there was lots of room to walk past.
We went to the car to put my husband’s bag into boot so we could follow the ambulance into hospital. She noticed that someone had "keyed" the back of the car causing considerable damage.
The hospital told us he was critically ill with pneumonia.
I would like to say to the person who carried out this mindless vandalism to my daughter’s car: Why, if you objected to the car parked a little on the pavement, did you not walk a couple of yards to my door and ask for it to be moved? And, thank you for adding more stress and expense on us at this very difficult time.
