AN exhibition of landscape paintings by local artist Justin Beament will open at the offices of Charlesworth Nicholl at 31 High Street, Crediton, on Monday, September 5.

Justin taught at Exeter College of Art and Design and later at Plymouth University for a total of 25 years.

His exhibition consists of landscape paintings of Devon and Cornwall as well as Scotland and the North of England.

He uses the acrylic medium on canvas and works in a realistic and figurative form.

He welcomes people to go along and view the paintings and would be happy to discuss them with interested people by appointment.

Justin was born at Cambridge, grew up in Canada, returning to the UK in 1963 where he studied at London College of Printing, now the University of the Arts, London.

He worked as a designer at Granada Group, London and in Pharmaceutical advertising and was a Director of a design and public relations company in East Anglia before moving to Devon.

The exhibition will run until Friday, October 28 and can be viewed during the office opening hours of 9am to 5pm on weekdays.
