A CREDITON shop, Evans Newsagents, which has a comprehensive knitting and accessories section, is now offering a service for local knitting groups.

Knitting groups can now book to hold knit and natter sessions in the shop, where a table and chairs have been provided.

Tara Conabeare, proprietor, explained: “Knitting groups are welcome to come and book themselves in.

“We will even provide tea and coffee for a small donation and groups can come and knit and chat at the same time.”

Hot Pins Knit and Natter group was the first to take up the offer and held a recent session at the shop.

Sheila Job explained: “On behalf of the Hot Pins Knit and Natter group, we would like to thank Evans Newsagents for their use of their premises for our meetings and to Tara, Paul and Nick for all they have achieved with what they have done in the shop with a wonderful selection of haberdashery and wool.”

Sheila explained that the next meeting of the Hot Pins group will take place on Wednesday, November 14.
