THE wonderful Crediton Town Band is in its 41st year and is approaching its busiest time of year.
There are plenty of opportunities to see and hear the band at the following events.
On Saturday, December 13 Band members will play Christmas Carols at Homeleigh Garden Centre from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
On Sunday, December 14 the Band will play for the Christingle Service at Holy Cross Church, beginning at 3pm.
On Tuesday, December 16 the Band will play for the Farmers’ Christmas Carol Service at Exeter Livestock Centre.
It begins with drinks and mince pies from 6.30pm followed by the Carol Service at 7pm.
It will also include the Devon YFC County Choir, Guest speaker Mark Oliver plus a charity auction and hamper draw.
On Saturday, December 20 Band members will play Christmas Carols in Crediton High Street and at Morrisons from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
On Tuesday, December 23, the Band will play for its hugely-popular Carols in the Square from 7pm to 8pm, in Crediton Town Square.
Hundreds of people normally attend this much-loved annual town event.
Crediton Youth Orchestra will play before the event starts.
On Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24, Band members will play Carols in Crediton High Street and in the entrance at Tesco, Wellparks, Crediton, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Crediton Town Band is a non-contesting brass band which concentrates on playing concerts and community events throughout the year.
It comprises a mixture of local people of all ages and abilities who enjoy playing music together.

New players would be welcome to join and are invited to attend a rehearsal night.
The Band rehearses in Crediton on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
