A CREDITON girl had her long hair cut in front of many schoolfriends this week.
Kacey Woolridge (9) of Saxon Close, Crediton, a pupil at Hayward’s Primary School, donated her long hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
She said she was a little nervous before it was cut knew her hair was going to help children with cancer.
Layla Cobb of Viva Hair, Exeter, cut Kacey’s hair during an assembly in the school hall.
Teacher, Mr Scott Baker, described Kacy as being “really brave” and explained to all the children watching what would happen to her hair.
Kacey has also been raising funds for the charity and her mum set up a JustGiving page where people can donate.
Thanks to friends and family, as well as school friends, Kacey has raised £600, to date.
