LOCAL fundraiser, Joe Bussell, will be holding a Ukraine Humanitarian Aid Donation collection during Silverton Street Market, on Saturday, August 5, from 10am to 5pm.

Joe’s van will be parked in The Square at Silverton and he will be receiving donations of medical items and medicines, toiletries, dry foods and other items on the day or he can arrange collection if this is more convenient.

Joe is also raising £1,200 to help fund a second van to donate to Ukraine.

If you wish to donate you can do so by visiting Joe Bussell on Facebook and clicking on the flag which will take you to his Just Giving Crowdfunding page.

Silverton Street Market committee has agreed to provide sponsorship to help with the cost of Joe delivering his second donated transit van to Komarno in Ukraine.

The vehicle will be donated to the Ukraine Volunteer Unity Group to assist with the ongoing aid distribution for refugees and the military.

The popular Silverton Street Market will have lots of market stalls, street food and a bar, tug-of-war, live music, children’s entertainment, a repair cafe and a grand draw.

Entry will be £3 per adult (under 16’s free) and free parking.
