IN January, David Nation admitted that he did not consult the tax-paying and voting residents of Crediton on their views about a teen shelter but only consulted with the youth service and their outreach workers.
Now, our Liberal Democratic town councillors have unanimously agreed to consult the non tax-paying and non-voting teenagers for their views on a teen shelter!
Tesco has agreed to donate £5,000 to Crediton for a community project that meets the following criterion: most people agree with the project and it is something that will be around for a long time.
As David Nation is trying to get this funding from Tesco for the teen shelter, has he told Tesco that he has not consulted most residents in Crediton about the project?
If not, Tesco have a legitimate excuse for not donating this money to the town.
Remember the selling off of part of a car park to fund the town square that 80 per cent of people did not want and which has now turned into a "white elephant" and caused Crediton's main problem...lack of parking.
Who was consulted about selling off the car park? Were David Nation and Walter Brown both involved in this madness? I wonder why Walter Brown does not work to solve Crediton's parking problem?
David Nation, Walter Brown and the other Liberal Democrats appear to have forgotten that they are public servants, so now it's time to remind them that their legal duty and responsibility is to the tax-paying residents of Crediton.
The tax-paying and registered voters pay the taxes which provide the livelihood for our public servants like David Nation, Walter Brown and the other Liberal Democrats, who are then obliged to be working in the best interest of Crediton residents.
Is a teen shelter for 10 teenagers in the interest of the majority of the Crediton residents?
