HUNDREDS of people went along to a Family Fun Day in Newcombes Meadow, Crediton - and many were surprised that everything was free!

Tthe third bi-annual event was organised by Crediton Congregational Church, and there was plenty to see and do.

There was live music, including the QE Jazz Band and local people, face painting, bouncy castle, tractors and engine and a free barbecue and cakes and treats.

From 11am to 3pm, the park was very busy, long queues for the face painting and barbecue.

New this year was a fun dog show but there were also many more games and activities.

A church spokesperson thanked all who attended and those who helped make it a success.
