MOORE Brothers Crediton Ltd, the car servicing, MOT and diagnostic centre in Marsh Road, on Lords Meadow Industrial Estate said farewell to a long-serving member of staff this week.

Hilary Watkins has worked for Moore Brothers for 28 years, initially as secretary to John Burrow doing warranty work, after which she transferred to working on reception.

She transferred to the accounts department to help out and worked in accounts and on reception after the business moved to its premises at Marsh Road from the Crediton High Street.

The business was acquired by the Woollacott family who run the nearby business Fix Auto Mid Devon and Hilary continued to work for the new owners, Louise and the family.

Hilary said her husband Gary recently retired and they hope to enjoy some adventures together, travelling and visiting friends and family.

Hilary said there were no computers when she started at the business and she typed invoices by hand.

Louise said: “Hilary has been a fantastic asset for us.

“We wish her all the best for a long and happy retirement.”
