BALLOONS outside the front door at Dulings Meadow, Copplestone. showed where a coffee morning was being held, which raised£670 for the Children’s Hospice South West.
Hostess of the all-day event was Sandy Eakers with the Helmores team, another of their £50 challenge events.
This is where teams are provided with a £50 start-up investment to grow into as much as they can in three months.
Each team’s £50 is provided by Old Mill Accountants and Financial Planners. A dozen teams have signed up so far, among them are Taste of the West, Sandford Orchards, Helmores Estate Agents and Graphic Plc.
So far nearly £3,000 has been raised with teams still working hard. Teams interested in taking part should contact Old Mill who were represented at the Copplestone coffee morning by Ayla Hutchings and Elaine Grose.
Lots of cakes and other goodies had been made by Sandy, her friends and family. A big cake decorated with the Children’s Hospice logo was auctioned.
