CREDITON estate agency, Helmores, 2018 Christmas video is a real cracker and has become an internet and tv hit!

The High Street has been a hot topic of conversation in 2018.

Helmores itself has had an extremely busy and buoyant year, but many of the UK’s high profile, High Street businesses, such as House of Fraser, Maplin, Toys R Us, Saltrock and Evans Cycles, have closed.

In the estate agency industry, there have also been some sizeable failures including “online agencies” Emoov and Tepilo, which have both recently gone into administration.

So, in support of the High Street, and to remind people of the fantastic range of goods and services that’s right on their doorstep, the talented team at Helmores decided to showcase Crediton’s amazing High Street in the agency’s 2018 Christmas video - its very own version of the brilliant Visa advert celebrating all thriving High Street businesses.

The video also underlines the importance of the High Street estate agent and the personal service the businesses deliver with an unrivalled level of compassion for their home-buying and selling clients.

The Helmores team shot and edited the film entirely themselves - Rob Stoyle (one of the partners) did all the camera work and editing, George Clover (also a partner) directed, and Tom Hole (Helmores’ photographer) was on sound and lighting.

All of the businesses featured in the film are real High Street traders in Crediton: Divine Flowers, Boka (gifts), A J Cox (butchers), Oliver’s (bakers), Snob (clothing), Grape and Grain wine merchants, Candimama (sweet shop), Once Read (book shop), and of course, Helmores!

Rob said: “The video took about a week to make, and as you can imagine there was a lot of laughing and quite a few outtakes!

“Everyone we asked was really keen to be a part of the video. They were all such good sports and we all really loved it.”
