THE Annual General Meeting of the Redlands League of Friends took place at the health centre on Monday, June 23.
Some members of the public were present together with most of the existing committee.
Reports from the various sub-committees were delivered, and it was declared that the League is in a healthy position to deliver any appropriate help to the practice for the benefit of the patients.
The existing committee were re-elected en bloc. The surgery explained that the old concept of a “Doctor’s surgery” has now changed and that the practice is now a “Health Centre”.
This means that not only are doctors and nurses available for patients, but that a number of other health related services are also available, enabling patients to see the specialist most suitable for their condition.
It was noted that some very appreciative messages had been received, regarding patients experiences.
The surgery are holding an Open Day on Saturday, September 13, when members of the public are invited to go and see what the Surgery does, all welcome.
Two fundraising events are already arranged, both Bingo at Crediton Football Club on Fridays, August 29 and November 28.
