FOR nearly 11 years, Mike and Barbara Pratt have run a monthly Breakfast Club as an outreach of Cheriton Fitzpaine Methodist Church.

This has been enormously successful, with the Hall (and sometimes part of the Chapel) full of chattering customers enjoying a “Full English” or just a cuppa in a friendly environment.

Sadly, partly due to health reasons, the July breakfast was the last for the time being. Mike and Barbara were presented with garden tokens and flowers by their many supporters and helpers at an emotional “Farewell and Thank you”.

Both are very grateful for the many adults and young people who have worked so hard, be it “Front of House”, in the kitchen or standing over a hot stove for three hours.

We remain hopeful that some enterprising villagers will be able to provide an alternative in the Autumn.
