ON Wednesday, September 28, the Strolling Mummers will be giving a free performance of the traditional mummers play, “George and the Dragon”, in Crediton Town Square commencing at 6pm.
A group of 10 people are walking a 250 mile pilgrimage from Dragon Hill in Oxfordshire to Carn les Boel near Land’s End following the St Michael Line which passes through The Church of the Holy Cross in Crediton.
The performance will be followed by a “moot”, or discussion, on pilgrimage, folk traditions, reconnecting with the natural world and hopes and fears for the future.
